In may last year I went to, Vilnius, Lithuania where I played a prince from a village in Nigeria. (Watch video further down this blog). I remember the first day we were there that we were suppose to have a little bit of fun and meet up the next day and start the brainstorming process.
We were teamed up with local students from Vilnius and I believe we were about 10 students from Norway. I remember going out and having loads of fun, but what I do not remember is how I ended up all by myself in a town where I haven't seen another guy like me.... Black....
Some of my memories are still in my head like the group of men I met, where one of the guys tried to challenge me to a fight all the time. I met these guys on my way back to the hostel where my fellow Norwegian had gone to sleep a few hours ago. I don't know why I stayed with these men when I knew that one of them wanted to slaughter me with his boy scout knife he probably wore in his belt buckle. We were talking for an hour or so in Borat english and were standing outside some kind of breakfast place that opened at 7 in the morning. It was crazy cause we were maybe about 10 - 15 people waiting. When the lady opened the place everyone was screaming as if their favorite football team had won some sort of a championship or whatever, someone had won... Maybe it was our hungry drunken asses. Here is the thing, we all ordered brandy, beer and drinks before meals. This is where I met Mark Hillary, a really cool guy and a writer. I believe that Mark and I talked until 11 A.M.. Remember I had a meeting at 1 P.M. When I got to the hostel almost around noon I passed out and my fellow Norwegians tried to wake me up without any luck.
I found this video from Mark Hillary's youtube videos. Enjoy
